James Wilby reading to me for nine hours? Sure! Yes, please....twist my arm, why don't you? I've just discovered he has narrated like, a million books-on-tape. Seriously! Isn't that awesome? His dulcet tones can be yours for a mere $15.00! ROFL But really, this is very cool. Here's a site that gives free samples. Way better than the free samples at the grocery store on Saturdays. Sad part is, I was hardly listening to the book, just his voice. Then again, if it will keep me calm, my mouth shut, and my middle finger from sticking out the car window during rush hour traffic, I'm in. www.audible.com/search/ref=sr_lftbox_1_1

SO........we were in LA last week, and I brought along my iPod and had only a few chapters left of James' reading of "The Prisoner of Zenda", and would you believe in my Xanax haze, I fell asleep on the plane and totally didn't hear them. The next thing I remember was hearing: "Chapter 20.." I was, like, . So irritating. But then, it kept me from freaking out on the plane, which would have been bad. He really does such a fantastic job with narration; all of the characters are so differently nuanced that you wouldn't know at all that it was him! I downloaded "The Professor" by Charlotte Bronte, so that will be my next listen. Always love a good classic, and J-Dub is so great at them.

Oh God...this just in from a random Twitterer---sums up my thoughts EXACTLY! @thefakehui My office speakers are filling the office with the tender, lovely voice of James Wilby. I am a very, very happy girl. @thefakehui James Wilby's voice is basically audiobook perfection. His voice feels to me like sinking into a luxurious, warm bath on an icy day. @thefakehui I prefer male narrators, I don't know why. And James Wilby as a narrator is perfection. He needs to read me everything. I COULD NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE.
